We have a little tradition here at Dashboard that we lovingly call SHiT iFOUND. Every Friday, we sit around a table with some beers, wine and a bunch of snacks and a member of our team takes everyone through some of the cool shit they found that week. It’s shit that inspires us, shit that makes us laugh, shit that makes us think, shit that’s hot… all that kinda stuff. And we thought we should share it with everyone. So, without further ado, here’s some SHiT weFOUND.
The World’s First Pinterest Campaign
This Kotex campaign out of Israel was an international first. Before this, there wasn’t a single brand that had executed a marketing campaign on Facebook, and if Pinterest keeps growing at the rate it has been, this might just be one for the history books.
The Rise of Social TV
This graphic demonstrates the rapidly growing number of platforms that are now catering to the multi-screen mentality of today’s TV viewer. These platforms create all kinds of opportunities for networks and advertisers to capitalize on this shift in how we consume media instead of fighting the distracting pull of the second screen.

Pepsi Creates Light
A little science meets marketing in this international Pepsi social good campaign to bring light to those living in poverty around the world.
gTar
This modern day guitar has been creating online buzz since March, but it officially debuted at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference last week. Funded on Kickstarter, the company behind the product has already raised more than double their goal in pre-order sales. The gTar is expected to be available for purchase in September 2012.
Crowd Sourced Ads Online, Big Engagement Offline
This Slurpee campaign in Australia invited fans to get creative. And they sure did.
Somebody That Mario Used to Know
Your Favourite Martian, a nerdy fake cartoon band, covers Gotye, with a little inspiration from Nintendo
Group Buying Ad, Group Ad Experience
Brazil’s biggest group buying site uses iAd to let you work with a friend to unlock a credit. Just like group buying, you need multiple users to get the benefit. Simple, but smart.
The Museum of Me
This campaign from Intel allows you to create a video exhibit of your life on Facebook. The platform mines your Facebook data (once you give permission) and instantly creates a personalized video just for you. Watch the campaign video below, or go to http://www.intel.com/museumofme to try it for yourself.
Nike Summer of Football
Nike’s “Summer of Football” campaign in London received a whopping 9.1 million views in its first week. The video was part of a global talent search for the next generation of Footballers, but what’s great about this is that it was created for online, and adapted for TV, not the other way around. Keep your mouse on the video, and when you see text appear, click on it to access the hidden tunnels, which include player stats, bonus videos and secret links. You may have to go through it more than once to access everything, but trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
Epic Meal Time – Peanut Butter Jelly Time
This YouTube series features a group of guys who take on cooking and make it Epic. The latest video in the series takes on the classic peanut butter and jelly, preparing a meal that costs over 21,000 calories
SHiT iFOUND @ Dashboard
This happens to be my last week at Dashboard. I’ve had some great times here with the amazing team, and am leaving with some wonderful memories. I wanted to share a few with the team to show my appreciation for them.
