The contest started with a simple objective from one of our dearest clients, Mississauga Toyota Automotive Dealership – “how do we increase the number of ‘likes’ on our Facebook fan page?”
As a creative, the main challenge we faced was ‘how do we maintain Toyota’s existing brand elements but create something that uniquely belongs to Mississauga Toyota?’
Luckily, what we’ve got here is a client who has a lot of passion in the services they offer and who owns a vision in their business. Being actively responsive and communicative, being open to our suggestions and ideas, and most importantly, trusting us with the work we do, we were able to conceptually explore and give it our best and ultimately whip up the idea of this Facebook contest!

Next up we had to transform a straight-forward contest into something so fun and engaging that it would make you want to not only share this contest with your friends & family, but also to keep you coming back.
Now we’ve got this great product, our star to shine: the small, zippy, economical, well-designed Toyota Yaris with a sparkling personality. We wanted to appeal to modern, urban car-owners and we wanted to connect the joyful lifestyle of a Yaris to these target customers. It was important that they were able to play around with the Yaris in different colours and views so they can project themselves owning this car, and in fact in their hands, they have now the opportunity to seize one.
To create excitement, we created various hand-drawn illustrations and typography to use in the interface, the transitional motion graphics, as well as all the print pieces including the car wrap. We also spent quite a great deal of time to develop the user experience and user flow with our awesome developers and project managers. That’s how this project came to life.
To maintain healthy interaction over the 60-day contest period, entrants could invite their friends and family to enter as well. If they did, our entrants were awarded additional vehicles to park!

In total our contest and support content reached over 350,000 Facebook users and we successfully increased the number of ‘like’s’ to more than 6,000 from 440 on Mississauga Toyota’s Facebook fan page!
