While judging for best in Flash Animation for FITC , I came across TripWow, a product from tripadvisor. You can pull in any photos from any album — on Facebook, your desktop, from flickr — and make a mini movie. You can customize, by selecting your own soundtrack, setting the costars or defining the theme. I tried it out with photos from the time I lived in Paris. TripWow automatically set my movie to an Amelie-style soundtrack which just about brought tears to my eyes. And while the UI and design of this experience could use a lot of help (it reminds me a bit of clip art e-cards) I actually really loved the idea of turning my trip into a movie at the click of a few buttons.
