Dashboard is living the Sporting Life

I am proud to announce the latest win for Dashboard, it is none other than the amazing lifestyle retail chain, Sporting Life. Torontonians like me know the brand really well. It’s our go-to for sporting equipment, clothes, shoes and brand fashions. I can remember going with my family to stock up on summer stuff before heading off to camp. Barry started his Toronto advertising career working on Sporting Life in 1995. And Gayle here tells us stories of hanging out at Sporting Life after high school. So aside from being a great win for the agency, it’s a great win for all of us personally.

The retail industry has experienced huge shifts in the last few years. The competition has increased, the consumer wants everything for less and to top it all off, the weather’s been unpredictable and the economy has been rickety. It’s tough out there, only the strong survive, and without surprise Sporting Life has thrived. Now partnering with Dashboard, Sporting Life is planning for bigger and better and that means ideas across all channels, as we are their agency of record.

It’s a good thing that every member of the Sporting Life team here at Dashboard has a background in retail advertising – there isn`t a stronger or more qualified team out there to build their business. Having worked in the sporting goods retail industry for 7 years, I am personally very excited to work on the business. My experience has given me a good understanding of the retail industry as a whole, from the way people shop to how they make purchasing decisions. It has also given me an appreciation of how fast paced retail can be, which has prepared me to roll with the punches. I know this is the kind of client that will launch my own career.

So be on the lookout for some excited new work for Sporting Life. As I said they have big plans and so do we, together we will take Toronto by storm.
