Being a copywriter is no easy task. We’re not writing novels or crafting dissertations, instead we’re coming up with big ideas for mufflers, crafting tag lines for cashmere blended sweaters and writing long copy about non-fat sour cream.
Finding the right tone and voice for a brand is an art. Beer shouldn’t sound like perfume, unless it’s beer flavoured perfume (which could happen). The best copywriters I know immerse themselves in a product and become that chocolate pudding or pleather handbag. Whether it’s a Facebook post or a banner, the brand speaks not the writer. And this is what we are looking for.
If you are a copywriter with more than 4 years of interactive and traditional advertising experience then let’s talk. We’re open to meeting all writers from all walks, but you must be a big idea thinker who loves copy of all lengths.
This job is awesome because every day is a different challenge. You will work closely with every Dashboardian to dream up BIG ideas that bridge every media. Video scripts, online media ads, Facebook contests, large content site copy, working on stunts, writing radio ads, recording musical numbers…Seriously if you can dream it and then write it, well Dashboard is open to creating it.
