It’s been about 3 weeks since I joined the Dashboard team, and I’m thrilled to be here. Now, I could tell you about my professional background (3 years in advertising and a background in journalism and digital production) and all of the other details about me and my career, but that’s all stuff you can get from my LinkedIn profile. So instead, I now give you “The Partial (But Hopefully Insightful) Photographic Lexicon of Erin McKeever”:
1. I’m a dog person. This is my dog, Petey. He’s hyper, loves food, and usually achieves whatever he sets his mind to. Come to think of it, he may take after me…
2. I’m a big nerd. I’m a huge Apple fan, and you’ll pretty much always find me on my iPhone, iPad or MacBook. I like to design, edit, and just play around with whatever technology I can get my hands on. I also play video games when I have the time.
3. I’m a digital socialite. I am a VERY heavy user of social technology. I tweet advertising and technology news constantly, I connect with my friends on Facebook, and network on LinkedIn. I use Tumblr, Flickr, YouTube, and many others as needed, and have spent a lot of time advising on how best to use these tools to grow your business and build stronger customer relationships. And no, I don’t play Farmville.
4. I’m a film & TV buff. I truly believe that On Demand TV was one of the greatest innovations of our time. I love watching TV shows and movies, and because of my digital production background, I’m very critical. It’s a good thing and a bad thing, depending on what I’m watching and who I’m with.
