We were blown away by the initial product concept, and challenged by the request to make the North American launch of Cry Translator stand out in a sea of iPhone applications (over one million at last count).

Cry Translator was developed by Spanish firm Biloop Technologies to help new parents understand the meaning of their child’s cries. The app involves a revolutionary sound analysis technology that quickly identifies an infant’s cry, based on one of five emotional or physiological states.

Our launch strategy included outreach to key online influencers in parenting, lifestyle and technology categories. Within weeks of launch, not only was Cry Translator elevated to Featured status on the Canadian App Store, it received airtime on Regis, The Doctors, and even parodied on SNL’s Weekend Update. Online, we received coverage through outlets as diverse as the NY Post, Huffington Post, Wired and Gizmodo. Homer Simpson and his brother would be impressed.
